What is Radio Frequency treatment or RF treatment?

Radiofrequency

Please note: the machine used for this RF treatment is a high-end technology and is safe for use in treatments.

What is RF treatment?

  • Radio Frequency treatment is the most common safe, and non-invasive procedure that uses radio waves to prompt the skin to produce more elastin and collagen. The presence of collagen and elastin assists in tightening the skin, softening and getting rid of wrinkles, and restoring elasticity to the skin. Over time, the skin becomes firmer and thicker.
  • Radio frequency treatment uses electrical pulses that heat the dermis (the deepest skin layer) through hand pieces without damaging the epidermis (the top layers of the skin), to stimulate new collagen growth and provide an improvement in skin laxity and appearance, to remodel and enhance dermal density.

What does it do for my body? (Benefits)

Bodily challenges it might help with:

  • What to wear?: Wear any clothing you like, unless you are also attending other treatments.
  • What will you do?: You will lie on the bed and relax.
  • What will the therapist do?: Apply ultrasound gel to the chosen area, switch on the machine, and move in circular motions over the chosen treatment area, wipe off the gel, and massage chosen area.
  • How often?: Any time from 48 – 72 hours after the previous session (allows the body to produce collagen and elastin)
  • When can I expect results?: It depends on your body’s ability to produce collagen and elastin. Some people see results after session 3, 10 sessions are recommended for optimal results.

Aftercare

  • Exercise, swimming, spas and anything that involves increasing your body temperature, should be avoided for 24-48 hours.
  • Apply 30+ sunscreen every day.
